RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s climbing duo Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi and Rajiah Sallsabillah secured a bronze medal in the women’s speed relay at the World Climbing Series Krakow 2026, held in Poland on Sunday, July 5, 2026.
Competing as INA 1, the pair defeated Spain’s Leslie Adriana Romero Perez and Carrla Martinez Vidal in the bronze medal race, clocking 13.14 seconds, ahead of the Spanish team’s 13.52 seconds, Antara reported.
Gold went to China’s Yefei Zhoe/Lijuan Deng, who posted the fastest time of 12.89 seconds against Poland’s Aleksandra and Natalia Kalucka, who settled for silver with 14.00 seconds.
Meanwhile, Indonesia’s second team (INA 2) represented by Kadek Adi Asih and Berthdigna Devi Surya Kusuma finished 20th after a fall.
The bronze adds to Indonesia’s strong showing in Krakow. Earlier, Desak Made Rita captured gold in the women’s individual speed event, defeating Poland’s Natalia Kalucka with a time of 6.54 seconds.
In men’s singles, Raharjati Nursamsa claimed bronze with 4.79 seconds, while Antasyafi Robby Al Hilmi teamed up with Desak to secure silver in the mixed relay.
The Krakow series, held from July 3–5, 2026, featured speed and relay events, further cementing Indonesia’s rising profile in international climbing competitions. ***
