RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s women’s 3x3 basketball team is gearing up for a tough test at the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Xiantao Stop 2026, scheduled for July 4–5. The squad arrives in China with solid preparation and confidence after intensive training at GOR CLS Kertajaya in Surabaya, East Java.
Head coach Andrie Ekayana Satya Santosa confirmed the players are in good condition despite the long journey. “Everything has gone well, including today’s practice ahead of the matches,” he said in a statement from Jakarta on Saturday, June 4, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
Indonesia will begin its campaign in the qualifying round, drawn into Group A alongside China’s Jingshi team and Paraguay’s national squad. The opening game against Jingshi tips off at 10:50 Jakarta time on Saturday, followed by a clash with Paraguay at 11:40 Jakarta time.
Should Indonesia top the group, they will advance to the main round in Group C, facing the Philippines and China’s Yanjing team. Andrie noted that Paraguay ranks above Indonesia, while Jingshi is a newly formed side. “Both teams have high playing standards, so we must stay focused and consistent,” he emphasized.
The tournament also serves as valuable preparation for the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, later this September. Indonesia will rely on four experienced players: Diva Nur Fadillah, Ayu Sriartha Kusuma Dewi, Thasya Heri Saputera, and Lidwina Ruth Riratri Dwi Saputri.
Ayu previously helped Indonesia clinch gold at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand. Diva and Thasya teamed up at the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Manila Stop earlier this year, while Lidwina gained international exposure at the 2025 Youth Nations League and U21 Asia Pacific competition.
The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series is an annual global tournament featuring national teams and professional squads representing cities, clubs, or sponsors. Staged across multiple countries, each stop contributes ranking points toward the season standings and the year‑end finals. ***
