RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesia strengthened its standing in international equestrian sport after successfully hosting the AEF/MANTENA Cup Jakarta 2026, with home rider Teuku Rifat Renanda Harsya claiming the Elite 135 cm title at the FEI‑sanctioned competition.

The tournament marked the first time Indonesia hosted an FEI CSI1 Borrowed Horse Competition under the auspices of the Asian Equestrian Federation (AEF) and the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI). The event attracted riders from 13 countries, making it one of the largest borrowed horse competitions ever staged in Asia.

Competing at Equinara Horse Sports, Jakarta International Equestrian Park Pulomas (JIEPP), on Sunday, June 28, 2026, Teuku Rifat won the FOLAGO National Elite Silver Tour 135 cm class. He finished ahead of Yayat Subrata aboard King Almor, while Ferry Wahyu Hadiyanto and Cornet Diamante completed the podium.

“I’m grateful to become the champion. The competition here was very tough, so this result means a lot to me,” Teuku Rifat said in an official statement released on Wednesday, July 1, as quoted by Antara.

“Thank you to the entire team for all their hard work. I hope I can continue improving my performance and achieve even better results in the future,” he added.

The victory capped a strong campaign for the young Indonesian rider, who also finished second in the International U25 Jumping 120 cm class and third in the Open Jumping 140 cm Grand Prix.

The achievements marked another milestone for Teuku Rifat, who has competed in equestrian sport since the age of 10.

Beyond the competition, organizers said the AEF/MANTENA Cup Jakarta 2026 also generated positive momentum for Indonesia’s sport tourism sector, with several foreign athletes and officials extending their stays to explore the country’s tourist attractions, culinary offerings, and culture.
