RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia's equestrian athletes won gold and bronze at the AEF/MANTENA Cup Jakarta 2026 FEI CSI1 International Jumping Competition, a FEI-sanctioned event featuring riders from 13 countries.

The result highlighted Indonesia's growing competitiveness ahead of the 2026 Asian Games, while Jakarta strengthened its reputation as a host of international equestrian events by staging one of Asia's largest borrowed-horse competitions.

Rider Brandon Toa secured gold in the CSI1* Borrowed Horse Competition 115cm with Jump-Off, while Aisha Maydina Hakim claimed bronze. Thailand's Akkara Konglapamnuay took silver.

Indonesia also dominated the CSIU25-A Jumping Competition 125cm with Jump-Off, with Maritza Aliyah Wardana taking first place. In the FOLAGO National Elite Silver Tour 135cm, Teuku Rifat Renanda Harsya and his horse Kastilia emerged victorious.

The event marked the first time Indonesia hosted a CSI1 Borrowed Horse Competition under the Asian Equestrian Federation (AEF) and the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI).

"We can see that Indonesian athletes are capable of competing against riders from 12 other countries. This is certainly a major motivation for future athlete development," said organizing committee chair Adinda Yuanita, on Sunday, June 28, as quoted by Antara.

A total of 13 countries participated in the championship, which received recognition from the AEF as the largest CSI1 Borrowed Horse Competition in the federation's history.

Organizers said the event also boosted sport tourism and promoted Indonesian culture to international participants. Following this year's success, they hope to stage the competition again in 2027 and 2028. ***
