RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian tennis players Janice Tjen and Aldila Sutjiadi are set to compete in separate tournaments across Europe this week after concluding a doubles partnership at the Nottingham Open 2026.
Janice will begin her campaign at the WTA 250 Eastbourne Open in England, where she is scheduled to face American Catherine McNally in the first round on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 5 p.m. Jakarta time. The match offers the 24-year-old Indonesian an opportunity to improve her singles record during the grass-court season.
Meanwhile, Aldila will compete in the doubles draw at the WTA 500 Bad Homburg Open in Germany. Teaming up with former world No. 2 Vera Zvonareva, Aldila will face Anastasia Panova and Magali Kempen in the opening round, Antara reported.
The two Indonesians recently partnered in the doubles event at the Nottingham Open, reaching the semifinals before falling to British pair Harriet Dart and Maia Lumsden 6-4, 4-6, 10-6.
For Janice, Eastbourne marks her fourth tournament of the grass-court season. She has been seeking consistency in singles after exiting Roland Garros in the first round, reaching the second round of the Birmingham Classic, and suffering another opening-round defeat at the Libema Open.
Despite her mixed singles results, Janice has enjoyed success in doubles. Earlier this month, she captured the Birmingham Classic WTA 125 doubles title alongside Australian player Talia Gibson. ***
