Janice Tjen and Aldila Sutjiadi Cruise into Nottingham Open Semifinals

Seeded third in the WTA 250 grass-court event, Janice/Aldila overpowered Miriam Kolodziejova/Jesika Maleckova with a decisive 6-1, 6-2 win in just 57 minutes, according to WTA records.

The Indonesian duo dominated from the start, winning four consecutive games in the opening set, Antara reported. Although their Czech opponents managed to steal one game, Janice/Aldila quickly regained control to secure the set.

The second set followed a similar pattern. Kolodziejova/Maleckova resisted briefly at 2-5, but Janice/Aldila closed out the match in the eighth game to seal their place in the semifinals.

The victory sets up a clash against the winners of the quarterfinal between top seeds Storm Hunter/Caty McNally and Maia Lumsden/Harriet Dart.

Janice and Aldila are aiming to replicate their success from last year, when they captured titles at the WTA 125 Suzhou (China) and WTA 250 Chennai (India).

For Janice, the Nottingham campaign also represents a chance to secure her third doubles crown of the season, having already triumphed at the WTA 250 Hobart with Katarzyna Piter and the WTA 125 Birmingham with Talia Gibson.
