RRI.CO.ID, Austria - Indonesian sport climber Ravianto Ramadhan has secured a place in the semifinals of the World Climbing Series Innsbruck 2026 in the boulder discipline, held in Austria from June 17–21.
His strong performance in the qualifiers on Wednesday, June 17, placed him among the top 24 athletes. He stands as Indonesia’s sole representative advancing to the boulder semifinals, while his twin brother, Raviandi Ramadhan, was eliminated in the qualifiers.
The spotlight now turns to Ravianto, who is expected to deliver another strong showing in the semifinals on Friday, June 19, with hopes of reaching the final round.
Head coach Amri praised Ravianto’s determination: “Anto’s achievement is well-deserved because he trains hard. He just needs to stay calm and focused for the semifinals,” Amri said on Thursday, June 18, referring to Ravianto's nickname.
Team manager Wahyu Pristiawan Buntoro emphasized that this milestone is significant for Indonesia’s preparations ahead of the Asian Games. The national team will also compete in the lead discipline scheduled for Saturday, June 20.
Indonesia has sent five athletes to Innsbruck: Putra Tri Ramadani, Ravianto Ramadhan, Raviandi Ramadhan, Alma Ariella Tsany, and Sukma Lintang Cahyani. Ravianto’s progress is seen as a promising sign, with hopes he can replicate success on the international stage.
