RRI.CO.ID, Nusa Dua - The Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC), together with the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organizing Committee (AINAGOC), emphasized that the Asian Games Fun Run 2026 in Bali is more than just a community race.

The fun run in Bali stands as a symbol of collaboration and unity across Asia in the lead-up to the 20th Asian Games in Japan. NOC Indonesia Vice Chairman Ismail Ning described it as a strategic platform to strengthen Indonesia’s role within Asia’s sporting ecosystem.

“This event is not only about public participation, but also about how Indonesia contributes to building Asia’s collective spirit. It is part of sports diplomacy,” he said on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

OCA Media and Broadcast Director Jian Zhou underlined that the Fun Run series across Asia is a vital step in bringing the Games closer to the people.

“We want the Asian Games to belong not only to athletes, but to all communities across Asia. Through the Fun Run, that spirit is carried directly into the cities,” he noted.

AINAGOC Deputy Director Manami Okumura expressed appreciation for Indonesia’s active role in supporting the success of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Games.

Olympian long jumper Maria Londa added that the event holds strong emotional meaning for athletes and the public alike, serving as a reminder that the journey to the Asian Games begins now.

Asian Games Fun Run 2026 Project Director Tabitha Sumendap said the Bali edition was designed as an inclusive and memorable collective experience. She described it as a celebration of Asia’s shared spirit on the road to the Games.

General Manager of The Nusa Dua, I Made Agus Dwiatmika, noted that the choice of The Nusa Dua reflects international confidence in the destination’s readiness to host large-scale global events professionally.

The event will take place at Bali Collection, Nusa Dua, on June 14, 2026, with an open, participatory concept welcoming all communities. It offers a shared sporting experience while strengthening public engagement with the Asian Games.

Beyond the run itself, the program includes various activations to deepen public connection with the 2026 Games, ensuring that communities feel closer to Asia’s sporting spirit.

The Bali Fun Run is supported by ITDC as venue partner, alongside leading national and international sponsors. This cross-sector collaboration underscores the collective effort behind Asia’s sporting agenda.

Sponsors of Team Indonesia--including Mills, BAIC, Aice, Kings Travel, TikTok, and Perumnas--are also backing the event. Their involvement reinforces the sports ecosystem and public participation.
