RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Iranian cyclist, Arezoo Eskandari, recently arrived in Indonesia as part of her Asian tour. By cycling across various cities in Java and Bali, she hopes to spread a message of peace and friendship while also introducing her hometown of Isfahan.

Arezoo said that she had begun her tour in Beijing, China, seven months ago. She, then, cycled through several Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia.

"(I) start cycling to the south of China, and after Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, and now in Indonesia," she said at a press conference in Jakarta on Monday, June 8, 2026,

The 35-year-old woman visited Indonesia for the first time only last weekend. Despite that, she expressed her appreciation for the friendliness of the Indonesian people.

"Indonesian people are very kind, friendly, and (have a great) hospitality... (They) see me on the road and say hello, "Hello, welcome to Indonesia", and I'm happy to come here," she said.

During her time in Jakarta, she had the opportunity to receive a facial treatment at a beauty clinic before continuing her journey of more than 1,000 kilometers. The clinic’s owner, Ade Fitrie Kirana, described that Arezoo, as a woman who is motivated to take bold actions and pursue her dreams, is in accordance with the values she believes in.

"We believe that women can inspire, women can provide motivation and also benefits, this is very relevant to what I do," Ade said.

"For me, seeing her courageously explore different countries despite all the challenges and difficulties, such as cultural differences, language barriers, and many other obstacles, is truly inspiring. It made me very excited to invite her to come here," she said.

In Indonesia, Arezoo plans to cycle for about a month to Bali, before continuing her journey to India, with Iran as the final destination. In addition to spreading messages of peace and friendship, she also hopes to encourage people to embrace a slower pace of life for a better life, inspired by her cycling experiences.

"I see my goal as a daily journey. And I enjoy it as a goal of every moment," Arezoo said. "I invite everyone I meet on the journey to enjoy the moment now. Don't think about the past moments, and don't worry about what will happen. But live in the moment now and enjoy every moment."
