The Indonesian squad dominated the court, securing a decisive 66-49 victory over their Singaporean counterparts, according to official FIBA records, Antara reported.
Indonesia's offensive drive was propelled by Ariqa Shafa Chayyara, who led the team's scoring with 14 points. Fellow standout Inez Angelina Welly delivered a highly efficient all-around performance, racking up 11 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while Joanne Giovanni chipped in an additional 10 points to lock in the double-digit victory.
This initial victory provides critical momentum for Indonesia as they prepare to navigate a challenging lineup of consecutive regional matchups. Under the leadership of head coach Amin Prihantono, the national team consists of a refined 12-player roster.
The final squad was narrowed down after an extensive nationwide selection process that initially evaluated 76 prospective athletes before being trimmed to 15 during training camps and finally down to the traveling 12.
