RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Two Indonesian boxers, Sunan Agung Amoragam and Noldy Manakanae, are set to showcase their strength at the Pattimura International Big Fight 2026, determined to prove that Indonesian fighters can still compete on the international stage.

The event will take place at TVRI’s Central Studio on Friday, May 29, 2026, featuring opponents from Thailand--a nation renowned for its boxing tradition in Southeast Asia.

Sunan Agung Amoragam is scheduled to face Natha Phong Nuchap Hum in the Super Bantamweight division (55.3 kg) over eight rounds. Representing HS Ciseeng Boxing Camp, Sunan revealed he has prepared a special strategy and studied his opponent’s style through match recordings.

“I’m ready to fight and have analyzed his game. Hopefully, the result will meet expectations,” Sunan said after the weigh-in at TVRI Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday.

Despite his confidence, Sunan is expected to face a tough challenge. Natha Phong is known for his powerful punches, with five knockouts among his seven professional victories.

Meanwhile, Noldy Manakanae of Kemang Fight Gym will take on Phirawat Panthong in the Featherweight division (57.1 kg). Noldy expressed optimism after an intensive training camp. “I’ve watched his fight recordings. I’m confident I can deliver my best performance,” he said.

Promoter Nikolas Johan Kilikily emphasized that the event marks an important step for the revival of professional boxing in Indonesia. “This is not just an ordinary fight, but a stage to prove the quality of Indonesian boxers,” he stated.

He added that international bouts are crucial for measuring local athletes’ abilities and reigniting public enthusiasm for the sport.

The Pattimura International Big Fight 2026 also commemorates the 209th Pattimura Day, honoring Maluku’s rich boxing heritage that once produced Indonesian world champions.
