RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian tennis player Janice Tjen saw her impressive run at the 2026 Morocco Open come to an end after a hard-fought three-set battle against Colombian seed Camila Osorio in the Round of 16 on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Competing on clay court in Rabat, Janice was defeated 3-6, 6-3, 0-6 in a match lasting two hours and six minutes, Antara reported.
The Indonesian player struggled to find her rhythm early in the match and dropped the opening set 3-6. Osorio proved more effective in converting break-point opportunities and used her strong serving game to control the pace of play.
Janice responded well in the second set by playing more aggressively from the baseline. Her improved attacking game helped her level the match after taking the set 6-3.
However, momentum shifted back to Osorio in the deciding set. The Colombian player dominated from the start and did not allow Janice to develop her game. Osorio swept through the third set 6-0 to secure a place in the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 tournament.
Although Janice was unable to advance further, the Indonesian player showed resilience by fighting back to claim the second set before eventually falling to the Colombian favorite. ***
