RRI.CO.ID, Rabat - Indonesian tennis player Janice Tjen successfully secured a spot in the second round of the 2026 Morocco Open, after defeating Swedish player Cajsa Hennemann in straight sets.
Janice competed in the first round of the WTA 250 tournament at Club des Cheminots, Rabat, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Entering the tournament as the top seed, she won 6-1, 7-5 in 84 minutes.
The 24-year-old player dominated throughout the opening set. She maintained control of the match despite committing three double faults.
Janice used accurate returns to pressure her opponent from the beginning. Her first-serve percentage also reached 76.9 percent during the first set. That advantage helped Janice convert three crucial break points in the match. She then closed out the opening set convincingly with a 6-1 victory.
The second set proved more competitive than the first. Hennemann began to find her rhythm through aggressive serving. The two players were locked at 5-5 before Janice kept her composure to win the 11th game of the set.
In the final game, Janice faced pressure during deuce. However, she managed to turn things around and sealed the match with a victory.
