RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian track cycling team continued its medal run at a home competition, building momentum with consistent podium finishes at the Indonesia Track Cup II being held at Jakarta International Velodrome.

On the second day of the event on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, Indonesian cyclists Bernard Benyamin Van Aert and Terry Yudha Kusuma added to the country’s medal tally, Antara reported.

Bernard secured a bronze medal in the Omnium event after collecting 155 points, finishing behind Malaysia’s Muhammad Yusuf Shaari, who claimed gold with 181 points. Another Malaysian rider, Muhammad Hafiq Mohd Jafri, completed the podium with 138 points.

The achievements followed strong performances on the opening day, where Bernard won gold in the Elimination race, while Terry took silver and Malaysia’s Muhammad Yusri claimed bronze.

Terry later clinched gold in the Scratch race after finishing first, while Indonesian cyclist Julian Abi Manyu secured bronze alongside Malaysia’s Muhammad Adam Nazuan. The results further add to the duo’s medal haul after dominating Indonesia Track Cup I the previous weekend.

At the earlier event, Bernard captured three gold medals in the Omnium, Madison (with Muhammad Andy Royan), and Team Pursuit events alongside Andy Royan, Terry Yudha, and Julian Abi Manyu.

Meanwhile, Terry secured two gold medals in Team Pursuit and Elimination, along with a silver in the Points Race and a bronze in Madison with Yosandy Darmawan Oetomo.

Indonesia Track Cup 2026 is being held over two weeks, with the first series taking place from May 1-2 and the second series running from May 3-6, highlighting sustained competition for national and regional riders. ***
