RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesian national savate team clinched five gold medals at the Asian Savate Championship 2026 in Kathmandu, Nepal. Seven athletes competed in all events from April 30 to May 3, 2026.

Savate, also known as French kickboxing, is a martial art that combines boxing and kicking techniques.

The contingent comprised five male and two female athletes, who together secured five gold and two silver medals.

Indonesia’s gold medalists were Meina Mutiarani, Zoya Felicia, Aden Ramadan Widjaya, Claudio Cristian Ruitang, and Zolla Kevin Bara. Raka Natawija Raharjo and Arya Dinuwijaya Raharjo won silver.

Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Chairman Marciano Norman praised the achievement, saying it reflects the rapid progress of athlete development in the sport.

“The achievements of the Indonesian savate team are very proud. Congratulations to the gold and silver medalists. Keep training to maintain and even improve the quality and quantity of achievements in future international championships,” Marciano said in a statement on Monday, May 4, 2026.

He also expressed gratitude to the coaches, officials, and the Indonesian Savate Federation Central Board for their support, particularly the 2025–2029 management under Chairman Eko Puji Raharjo.

“Thank you to the coaches, officials, and the Indonesian Savate Federation leadership for guiding athletes to international success. Success for Indonesian savate,” Marciano added.
