RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian U-17 national team has finalized its 23-man squad for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2026 in Saudi Arabia, highlighted by the inclusion of three diaspora talents.

The trio - Mike Rajasa (FC Utrecht), Noha Pohan (NAC Breda), and Mathew Baker (Melbourne City) - bring international experience to the team. Baker stands out as the only player in the squad to have previously featured in both the AFC U-17 Asian Cup and the U-17 World Cup.

They join a core group of players who represented Indonesia at the ASEAN U-17 Championship earlier this year, including Noah Leo Duvert, Putu Ekayana, Zidane Raditya, Chico Jericho, Dava Yunna, and Sean Rahman.

Indonesia, coached by Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto, faces a formidable challenge in Group B, drawn alongside four-time champions Japan, two-time winners China, and one-time champions Qatar.

From the domestic front, Bali United contributes the largest contingent with four players: Noah Leo Duvert, Putu Ekayana, Made Arbi, and Keanu Sanjaya. Other clubs with strong representation include Persija Jakarta, Persik Kediri, Persebaya Surabaya, and Adhyaksa Championship (Liga 2), each supplying three players.

The AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2026 will take place in Jeddah from May 5-22, with the top two teams from each of the four groups advancing to the quarterfinals. Those who reach the last eight will also secure qualification for the U-17 World Cup 2026 in Qatar later this year. ***
