RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s women’s team faced a setback in their Uber Cup Group C decider in Horsens, Denmark, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, as the doubles pairing of Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti fell to Taiwan’s Hsieh Pei Shan and Hung En-Tzu, 21–23, 13–21.
The defeat leveled the tie at 1–1, erasing Indonesia’s early advantage. The advantage had come courtesy of Putri Kusuma Wardani, who opened the tie with a straight-game victory over Chiu Pin-Chian, 21–17, 21–17. But momentum shifted in the second match, where Fadia admitted her side struggled to stay composed.
“We’re sorry we couldn’t contribute a point today. In the first game, the opponents were more confident while we rushed too much,” she said in a statement released by the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI), as quoted by Antara.
Fadia pointed to the Taiwanese duo’s long-standing partnership as a decisive factor, while Tiwi acknowledged that unforced errors in the second game gave their rivals added confidence. “We made too many mistakes, and that made them believe even more,” she said.
With the score tied, the race for Group C supremacy remains wide open. Indonesia now looks to Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya Pratiwi against Lin Hsiang Ti in the third match, followed by Rachel Allessya Rose and Febi Setianingrum against Hsu Yin-Hui and Lin Jhih Yun.
The tie will conclude with Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo facing Huang Yu-Hsun, a match that could prove decisive in determining Indonesia’s path forward. ***
