Starting from 17th on the grid, the Sleman, Yogyakarta-born racer steadily worked his way forward, overtaking rivals while carefully managing his tires.

By lap seven, he had climbed to third place, and a lap later, he surged into the lead. The race took another twist when he slipped back to sixth on lap 11, but Ramadhipa fought back, regaining momentum and ultimately seizing the top spot in dramatic fashion on the final lap.

“My position dropped, but I stayed calm. Heading into the last corner, I found the right momentum and accelerated to secure the win. Thank you to my family, especially my father, and to the people of Indonesia for their support,” he said after the race, as quoted by Antara.

Ramadhipa crossed the finish line in 25 minutes 48.363 seconds, ahead of Britain’s Ethan Sparks and Spain’s Alejandra Fernandez. The victory came a day after he finished ninth in the opening race at Jerez.

The Rookies Cup will continue at Le Mans’ Bugatti Circuit in France on May 9–10. For Ramadhipa, the triumph marks a breakthrough in his career, adding to achievements from last season when he finished eighth overall in the Rookies Cup and fifth in the European Talent Cup, where he won two races as a debutant.

His best result in 2025 was a runner-up finish at Germany’s Sachsenring.

Ramadhipa is scheduled to compete in the FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship starting May 24, further cementing his status as one of Indonesia’s most promising young talents in international motorcycle racing. ***
