RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) has announced the squads for the 2026 Thomas Cup and Uber Cup, marking a key step in its preparations for the prestigious team tournaments.

Players were selected through a performance-based evaluation process, with decisions made objectively and collectively alongside the coaching team to ensure balance across the squads.

Head of PBSI’s Development and Achievement Division, Eng Hian, stressed that overall team readiness was the main priority. “We view overall readiness as the main factor. The selected players are expected to perform optimally and contribute maximally to the team,” he said.

The Indonesian Thomas Cup team, seeded second, is aiming for the best possible results amid tough competition, focusing on consistency through the group stage. Meanwhile, the Uber Cup team continues to build confidence and teamwork to advance further in the tournament.

The squads will depart for Horsens, Denmark, on April 16, 2026, to undergo joint training and acclimatization before the competition begins. The tournament runs from April 24 to May 3, 2026.
