Indonesia Advances to ASEAN Futsal 2026 Final after Defeating Vietnam

RRI.CO.ID, Bangkok – The Indonesian National Futsal Team has secured a place in the final of the 2026 ASEAN Futsal Championship after defeating Vietnam 3-2 in the semifinals at Nonthaburi Hall, Bangkok.

The match on Friday, April 10, 2026, was intense from the start. The Red-and-White squad applied constant pressure and dominated the first half.

Andarias Kareth was the standout performer, scoring twice in the 9th and 13th minutes to give Indonesia a 2-0 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Vietnam, coached by Diego Raul Giustozzi, attempted a comeback. Nguyen Da Hai pulled one back in the 22nd minute, but Indonesia quickly restored their two-goal cushion when Muhammad Sanjaya scored in the 23rd minute.

Vietnam narrowed the gap again in the 30th minute through Trinh Cong Dai, setting up a tense final stretch. Despite heavy pressure in the last 10 minutes, Indonesia’s defense held firm until the final whistle.

Head coach Hector Souto fielded his strongest lineup, led by captain and goalkeeper Muhammad Albagir, alongside Dewa Rizki Amanda, Andres Dwi Persada Putra, Andarias Kareth, and Guntur Sulistyo Ariwibowo.

This hard-fought victory sends Indonesia to the final of the 2026 ASEAN Futsal Championship.
