RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia is fielding a blend of senior and junior athletes at the World Climbing Asia Championship Meisan 2026 in China, aiming to sharpen skills and secure qualification for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

Assistant coach Sholikhin confirmed that seven climbers -- five men and two women -- will compete in lead and boulder categories. The roster includes Musauwir, Mahesa Caesar, Muhammad Ramzi Firmansyah, Muhammad Rizky Syahrafli, and Raviandi Ramadhan on the men’s side, along with Nur Diatul Jannah and Alma Ariella Tsany for the women.

The mix of experienced and emerging athletes reflects the Indonesian Sport Climbing Federation’s (FPTI) strategy to provide international exposure while testing readiness against Asia’s increasingly competitive field. Notably, Raviandi Ramadhan will represent Indonesia in both lead and boulder, boosting the team’s chances for strong results.

“Our target is simply to give our best effort. In tournaments, we can only strive to perform at our maximum,” Sholikhin said during a training session in Bekasi, West Java, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

The team is scheduled to depart on Sunday night, April 5, from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The Meisan championship, running April 7–12, serves not only as a qualifier for the Asian Games but also as a benchmark for athlete development ahead of September’s Games.

Beyond qualification, the event doubles as a warm-up for the upcoming series of international competitions organized by the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC). ***
