RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Young Indonesian racer Kiandra Ramadhipa is set to face a major challenge in his career after being confirmed to compete in the 2026 FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship, which begins on May 24, 2026.
According to the official FIM website, Kiandra has been listed as a permanent rider for the championship. Racing with the Honda Asia-Dream Racing Junior team, he will compete against 29 riders from various countries.
He is the sole Indonesian representative and one of five Asian riders in the competition, alongside Yaroslav Karpushin of Kyrgyzstan, Seiryu Ikegami and Ryota Ogiwara of Japan, and Kiattisak Singhapong of Thailand.
The Moto3 Junior World Championship is regarded as one of the key pathways to the Moto3 class, part of the MotoGP ecosystem. For Kiandra, the season represents a significant test as he seeks to follow in the footsteps of fellow Indonesian rider Veda Ega Pratama, who advanced to Moto3 in 2026.
At just 16 years old, Kiandra has already made his mark internationally. In 2025, he finished fifth in the European Talent Cup standings, winning two races in his debut season. He also competed in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, finishing eighth overall and securing a second-place podium.
The 2026 season will feature seven races across Europe, including the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain, Estoril in Portugal, Jerez in Spain, Nevers Magny-Cours in France, Ricardo Tormo in Spain, Aragon in Spain, and Misano in Italy. The championship runs from May 24 to October 18, 2026. ***
