RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia has trimmed its national squad to 24 players for the upcoming FIFA Series 2026, signaling a more focused selection as preparations intensify for matches on home soil.

The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) announced the final squad on Saturday, March 21, 2026, with head coach John Herdman narrowing down the list from an initial 41 players. The squad consists of four goalkeepers, nine defenders, five midfielders, and six forwards.

The 24-player squad is a reduction from the previous provisional squad of 41 players, Antara reported.

Several notable names were left out in the final cut. In goal, Persebaya Surabaya’s Ernando Ari was omitted. In defense, Muhammad Ferarri, Fajar Fathurrahman, and Yance Sayuri were not included.

The midfield saw significant changes, with Marc Klok, Ricky Kambuaya, Witan Sulaeman, Egy Maulana Vikri, Tim Geypens, Ezra Walian, and Victor Dethan all dropped from the squad.

Up front, Milliano Jonathans, Adrian Wibowo, Hokky Caraka, Jens Raven, and Stefano Lilipaly also did not make the final selection.

At the club level, Persija Jakarta contributes the most players with four, followed by Persib Bandung with two. The remaining players come from various clubs, each contributing one player.

As hosts of the FIFA Series, Indonesia will face Saint Kitts and Nevis on March 27 at 8 p.m. Jakarta time. On the same day, Bulgaria will take on the Solomon Islands at 3:30 p.m. Jakarta time.
