RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s men’s doubles shuttlers Leo Rolly Carnando and Bagas Maulana have secured a place in the semifinals of the BWF World Tour Super 300 Orleans Masters 2026, defeating India’s Hariharan Amsakarunan/M.R. Arjun in straight games 21–12, 22–20 on Friday, March 20, 2026, in Orleans, France.

The third-seeded duo will next face China’s Hu Ke Yuan/Li Xiang Yi, who advanced after a comeback win against a Japanese pair. Bagas said the team is preparing carefully for the challenge. “We must stay alert and not lose focus. We’ll study their game through video analysis,” he explained, as quoted by Antara.

Reflecting on their quarterfinal performance, Leo noted that their strategy worked as planned. “Our opponents played well, especially in the second game. We relied on defense and counterattacks, and it went smoothly,” he said.

Beyond the competition, Leo and Bagas expressed hopes of delivering a title as a special gift for Indonesia during Eid al-Fitr. “We celebrated Eid here. I even joined the prayers earlier. Hopefully, we can give fans back home a championship as a holiday present,” Leo concluded.

The Orleans Masters final stages continue this weekend, with Leo/Bagas aiming to extend their run and bring home a trophy to mark the festive season. ***
