RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s women’s shuttler doubles pair, Rachel Allessya Rose and Febi Setianingrum, have officially set their sights on the Orleans Masters 2026 championship title after securing a spot in the quarterfinals.

The eighth-seeded duo advanced after overcoming Taiwan’s Chen Su Yu/Lee Yu-Hsuan in a three-game battle, finishing 14-21, 21-6, 21-13 at the Palais des Sports, France, on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

“We are certainly aiming for the title here, but the focus remains on taking it one match at a time,” Febi stated in an official release from PBSI, as quoted by Antara.

For Rachel and Febi, this victory serves as a vital turning point following a string of early exits. The pair struggled in their previous two outings, facing first-round eliminations at both the Super 1000 All England and the Super 300 Swiss Open.

“Praise God, thankful to win today. In the last two tournaments we were stopped in the first round, so I'm quite happy with the result. This is enough to restore our confidence,” Rachel remarked.

Despite the victory, the pair admitted to a rocky start. Febi noted that they struggled in the opening game while adapting to the court conditions and the character of the shuttlecock. However, they successfully shifted the momentum by increasing the tempo and finding their rhythm in the subsequent games.

Rachel and Febi now stand as Indonesia’s sole remaining representatives in the women's doubles sector. Their compatriots, Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Meilysa Trias Puspita, were eliminated in the second round after a 19-21, 13-21 defeat to Japan’s Sumire Nakade/Miyu Takahashi.

Looking ahead to the quarterfinals, Rachel emphasized the need for composure. “Besok kami harus lebih tenang karena bolanya cepat. Dan fokusnya harus lebih jeli lagi (Tomorrow we have to be calmer because the ball is fast. And the focus must be more observant),” she added.

The Indonesian pair is scheduled to face the third-seeded Taiwanese duo, Hsu Ya Ching and Sung Yu-Hsuan, who reached the quarterfinals after a tight three-game victory over China’s Luo Yi/Wang Ting Ge. ***
