Indonesian Pair Amri/Nita Reach Orleans Masters 2026 Round of 16

RRI.CO.ID, Orléans - Indonesian mixed doubles shuttlers Amri Syahnawi and Nita Violina Marwah advanced to the round of 16 at the 2026 BWF World Tour Super 300 Orleans Masters after defeating Thai pair Phuwanat Horbanluekit and Benyapa Aimsaard in a three-game match.

Amri and Nita secured the victory with a score of 17-21, 21-18, 21-16 at the Palais des Sports in Orléans, France, on Wednesday, March 18.

The Indonesian duo initially struggled in the first game, tying the score at 8-8 before falling 21-17 under pressure from their opponents. In the second game, Amri and Nita played more aggressively, taking the initiative and closing out the game 21-18 to force a decider.

In the third game, Horbanluekit and Aimsaard briefly led 10-7, but Amri and Nita regained momentum and maintained consistency to secure a 21-16 win and a place in the round of 16.

They will next face the Dutch pair of Brian Wassink and Debora Jille, who earlier eliminated the French duo of Natan Begga and Elsa Jacob 22-20, 21-17.

With this result, Indonesia now has two representatives in the mixed doubles round of 16. Dejan Ferdinansyah and Bernadine Anindya Wardana advanced earlier after defeating India’s Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto 21-14, 21-18.

Dejan and Bernadine will next meet China’s Zhu Yi Jun and Li Qian, who overcame Serbia’s Mihajlo Tomic and Anjela Vitman 21-18, 21-15.

Meanwhile, another Indonesian pair, Adnan Maulana and Indah Cahya Sari Jamil, were eliminated in the first round after losing to Japan’s Yuta Watanabe and Maya Taguchi in a three-game match, 24-26, 21-14, 13-21. ***
