RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian women’s cycling team has continued its campaign in Vietnam with a strong start at the 2026 Biwase Cup, where rider Ayustina Delia Priatna secured a podium finish in the opening stage.

The race, which runs from Khanh Vinh to Thu Dau Mot, features five stages taking place from Wednesday, March 4, to Sunday, March 8, this week. The Indonesian squad’s participation follows its appearance in the Biwase Tour of Vietnam 2026 held last week.

In the first stage from Khanh Vinh to Nha Trang on Tuesday, March 10, Ayustina finished third after clocking 2 hours, 55 minutes, and 46 seconds, the same time recorded by the stage winner, Vietnam’s Thi Thu Mai Nguyen from the Loc Troi An Giang team, Antara reported.

Norway’s Oda Aune Gissinger of Hitec Products-Fluid Control took second place with the same finishing time. The result keeps Ayustina in contention for the yellow jersey or overall general classification as four stages remain in the competition.

Another Indonesian rider, Dewika Mulya Sova, finished 22nd, 5 minutes and 46 seconds behind the winner. She was in the same peloton as teammates Andini Putri Anatasya, who finished 27th, Nihayatuzzain Asshofi in 32nd place, and Ida Ayu Manik Laksmi Dewi in 33rd.

The opening stage result provides early momentum for the Indonesian team as it looks to build on its performance in the Biwase Tour 2026 last week. In this race, the Indonesian women’s cycling team finished second in the overall team classification after completing five stages from March 4 to 8.

They trailed Norway’s Hitec Products-Fluid Control, which claimed the title with a total time of 45 hours, 53 minutes, and 51 seconds, by 15 minutes and 29 seconds.

In the individual general classification, Ayustina finished fourth overall after placing seventh in the final stage. Second and third place in the individual standings were both taken by riders from Hitec Products-Fluid Control. Meanwhile, in the young rider classification, Ida Ayu finished fourth, Andini seventh, and Nihayatuzzain 14th. ***
