RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian women’s doubles shuttlers Isyana Syahira Meida and Rinjani Kwinara Nastine will miss two BWF World Tour tournaments in Europe due to injury. They will not compete at the Super 300 Swiss Open 2026 and the Super 300 Orleans Masters 2026.
The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) confirmed that Isyana, also known as Hira, sustained a right shinbone injury and will need time to recover before returning to competition.
Women’s doubles coach Karel Mainaky explained that the decision to withdraw was made after an evaluation with the coaching staff and medical team. “Hira suffered an injury to her right shinbone that requires rest and recovery time to restore her condition to optimal levels,” Karel said in Jakarta on Saturday, March 7, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
He added that the medical team recommended Hira temporarily stop competing and focus on recovery. “We do not want to take any risks that could worsen her injury, so this decision was made as a preventive measure to ensure a smooth recovery,” Karel said.
During the recovery period, Hira will undergo gradual physiotherapy, including pain management and lower-limb muscle-strengthening exercises. “Once her condition is stable and ready, Hira will gradually resume her training program before returning to competition,” Karel said.
