RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian women’s singles shuttler Ester Nurumi Triwardoyo has been out of the spotlight for some time. The Papua-born player had been sidelined due to a shin fracture that kept her away from competition.
Now fully recovered, Ester is ready to represent Indonesia’s women’s team at the 2026 Asian Team Championships, also known as the Badminton Asia Team Championships, which will be held in Qingdao, China, scheduled for February 3–8.
Her return has sparked excitement, and Ester admits she cannot hide her joy. She promised to make the most of the opportunity. “Praise God, I’ve been trusted to play and given the chance to compete in this team event. I’m truly happy to be back in this tournament,” Ester said.
“It hasn’t been easy to get here. The recovery and preparation have been a long process,” she added.
Before being selected for the squad, Ester had to undergo a series of tests to ensure she was physically ready. “I had to go through several assessments to confirm I was fit to compete again. From the preparations in Indonesia until now, everything has gone well,” she explained.
