RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian mixed doubles pair Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah will compete in the Round of 16 at the Thailand Masters 2026, where they are set to face Spain’s Ruben Garcia/Lucia Rodriguez.

The match will take place at Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Amri/Nita secured their spot in the Round of 16 after defeating China’s Zhu Yi Jun/Li Qian.

The young Indonesian duo had to battle through three games, winning 19–21, 21–9, 21–14. “Our game has improved, and we’re gaining more confidence,” Amri said in an official statement.

As rising talents from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) national training camp, Amri and Nita continue to focus on improving their performance with each match. Their goal is to gain valuable experience to compete against the world’s top shuttlers.

“We want to keep building momentum through every match. Personally, I’m trying to enjoy the game more, both in every rally and every point we score,” Nita added.

Their upcoming opponents, Ruben and Lucia, are also formidable. The Spanish pair advanced to the Round of 16 after eliminating India’s Ashith Surya/Amrutha Pramuthesh.
