RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian para-swimming squad secured a total of sixteen medals, including five golds, five silvers, and six bronzes, during the para-swimming events at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games in Thailand, running from January 20-26, 2026.

Competitions took place at the Aquatic Center, the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium in Nakhon Ratchasima, with Jendi Pangabean emerging as the standout athlete by contributing two gold medals in the S9 class, on Friday, January 23, 2026.

These victories were sought to solidify Indonesia's leadership in the pool and were accomplished through a series of dominant finishes in various freestyle, backstroke, and butterfly events.

Quoting Antara, Jendi secured his first gold medal in the men's 100-meter backstroke S9 after clocking 1 minute and 06.88 seconds. He continued his impressive performance by returning to the top of the podium in the men's 100-meter butterfly S9 with 1 minute and 05.16 seconds.

Additional gold for Indonesia came from Rifky Yavianda Maulana in the men’s 100-meter freestyle S12, where he finished first in 56.29 seconds. His compatriot Menaser Meriba Numberi secured the bronze medal at the same event with a time of 1 minute and 06.20 seconds.

The next gold medal was contributed by Ubaidillah Amsyar Juba Ramadhani in the men’s 100-meter butterfly S10, finishing in 1 minute and 07.36 seconds. Indonesia also secured gold in the men’s 200-meter individual medley SM10 through Bayu Putra Yuda, who finished first in 2 minutes and 38.18 seconds.

In the silver medal category, Iasadewa Satrianya Aji contributed one medal in the men’s 100-meter freestyle S11, clocking 1 minute and 11.56 seconds. Syuci Indriani earned silver in the women’s 200-meter individual medley SM14, while Zahra Nur Azizah finished second in the women’s 200-meter freestyle S9.

Further silver medals were added by Ubaidillah Amsyar Juba Ramadhani in the men’s 200-meter individual medley SM10 and Mulyadi in the men’s 50-meter breaststroke SB4.

Indonesia completed its medal tally for the day with several bronzes, including Rino Saputra in the men’s 100-meter backstroke S9 and Lutfi Afandi in the men’s 100-meter butterfly S11.

The final bronzes were awarded to Mutiara Cantik Harsanto in the women’s 200-meter individual medley SM10 and Siti Aisyah in the women’s 200-meter individual medley SM14. Abraham Situmorang Simson also secured a bronze in the men’s 50-meter breaststroke SB4, bringing the para-swimming team's daily total to five golds, five silvers, and six bronzes. ***
