Indonesia Stays 122nd in Latest FIFA World Rankings

KBRN, Jakarta: Indonesia closed the 2025 football calendar without movement in the FIFA World Rankings, remaining 122nd in the latest update released on Monday, December 22, 2025, as limited changes across the global standings left the national team’s position unchanged.
The ranking position has stayed the same since the previous update on October 17, 2025. Throughout 2025, Indonesia’s highest position was 118th, achieved in July, while its lowest ranking was 123rd in April, Antara reported.
At the regional level, Indonesia currently ranks fourth among Southeast Asian nations. Thailand leads the region at 96th with 1,243.27 points, followed by Vietnam in 107th place with 1,189.51 points and Malaysia at 121st with 1,145.89 points.
Indonesia sits above several other Southeast Asian teams, including the Philippines (136), Cambodia (139), Singapore (148), Myanmar (163), Brunei Darussalam (188), Laos (189), and Timor-Leste (198).
Across Asia, Japan remains the continent’s highest-ranked team at 18th, followed by Iran (20), South Korea (22), Australia (26), and Uzbekistan (50).
Globally, there were no changes in the top 33 positions of the FIFA rankings. Spain retained the top spot, followed by Argentina in second place and France in third. England ranked fourth, Brazil fifth, Portugal sixth, the Netherlands seventh, Belgium eighth, Germany ninth, and Croatia completed the top 10.
The first movement in the rankings occurred at 34th place, where Algeria moved up one position from the previous ranking. ***
