Indonesia Sports Summit 2025 Officially Opens in Jakarta

KBRN, Jakarta: The Indonesia Sports Summit 2025 (ISS 2025) officially kicked off at Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the event aims to strengthen the national sports industry.

ISS 2025 is envisioned as a collaborative platform bringing together athletes, policymakers, industry leaders, and youth. It marks an important step in building an advanced, inclusive, and globally competitive sports ecosystem.

“Indonesia Sports Summit 2025 is designed to unite the drivers and changemakers of the sports industry. Athletes, policymakers, and investors will come together in one forum,” said Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir.

The opening day featured a diverse agenda, beginning with a Fun Walk, Nusantara Seruni mass exercise, and a Kids Sport Fashion Show. The program continued with talk shows, including sessions with the NBA, PB Padel Indonesia, and Olympians. Italian Serie A legends Alessandro Nesta, Esteban Cambiasso, and Christian Panucci also joined as guest speakers.

Beyond talk shows, the summit offered forums on sports economics, infrastructure, and investment opportunities. Visitors explored an experience zone showcasing sports technology innovations and attended a job fair highlighting career prospects in the industry.

The first day concluded with performances by Indonesian musicians Adrian Khalif, Kahitna, and Mollucan Soul.

ISS 2025 is expected to foster a stronger and more structured sports ecosystem, with greater cross-sector collaboration to enhance national sports development.

With public participation, the government hopes to gradually improve national fitness levels and expand community involvement in sports activities such as ISS 2025.
