KBRN, Jakarta: Indonesia's swimming team has once again achieved impressive results at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Young swimmer Adellia managed to win a gold medal in the women's 200m breaststroke at the Olympic Pool in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Adellia outperformed Turkey's Pınar Dönmez and Lebanon's Lynn El Hajj with a time of 2:32:24.

“This is truly a surprise and the most special birthday gift for me,” Adellia said in a statement on Tuesday, November 11, as quoted by Antara.

Adellia revealed that she had not targeted a medal due to her unfavorable physical condition. The trip to the venue also posed a challenge, as it took two hours to reach the venue.

Adellia was determined to enjoy the competition and give her best performance. This attitude ultimately paid off with a gold medal, which was also the first medal for the Indonesian swimming team during the ISG Riyadh 2025.

Earlier, the Indonesian team won silver in the mixed 4x100-meter medley relay, with Farrel Armandio Tangkas Muhammad Dwiky Raharjo, Azzahra Permatahani, and Nadia Aisha Nurazmi clocking 4:03.53 seconds.

Additionally, Flairene Candrea also secured a bronze medal in the women's 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:04:20. ***
