KBRN, Jakarta: The Indonesian U-18 women's volleyball team successfully defeated Thailand in the semifinals of the 2025 Asian Youth Games at Isa bin Rashid Sports City Hall, Riffa, Bahrain. The victory was achieved with a close score of 26-24, 27-25, 25-17 on Monday, October 27, 2025.
Naisya Pratama led the scoring with 20 points, followed by Chelsa Berliana Nurtomo with 16. The match lasted 1 hour and 28 minutes, with the second set stretching to 32 minutes of intense back-and-forth play, as reported by antaranews.com.
In the opening set, both teams traded points in a close contest before Indonesia edged ahead to win 26-24 in 29 minutes. The second set proved even more competitive, with Indonesia battling through fierce resistance to take it 27-25.
Indonesia dominated the third set, outpacing Thailand 25-17 in 27 minutes to seal a 3-0 win and advance to the final.
Meanwhile, the U-18 men’s volleyball team fell to Pakistan in their semifinal match. Despite winning the first set, Indonesia lost momentum and dropped the following three sets 22-25, 13-25, and 19-25. They rallied in the fourth set with a 26-24 win, but Pakistan ultimately secured a 3-1 victory.
