KBRN, Jakarta: A dominant performance on home soil, led Indonesia to claim the overall championships at the 13th Asian Cup Woodball Championships 2025. The host nation secured the title with an impressive haul of 12 gold, 10 silver, and 7 bronze medals on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the JSI Resort in Bogor, West Java.

The "Red and White" team dominated the competition, finishing ahead of second-place Taiwan and third-place Hong Kong.

"Our initial target was 7 golds, but we are grateful to have reached 12. This means Indonesia is the overall champion of the Asian Cup 2025, and our national anthem, 'Indonesia Raya,' was played the most at this championships," said Aang Sunadji, Chairman of the Indonesian Woodball Association (PB IWbA), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Indonesia delivered a dominant performance in almost all events. In the women's single stroke, Siti Masithah won a gold with a score of 127, while Finda Tri Setianingrum and Febriyanti took home silver and bronze. The men's stroke doubles team of Ariska and Surya Aditya Pratama and the women's stroke doubles team of Silviana Celsy and Febriyanti also won gold.

Indonesia's dominance extended to the team events, where both the men's team (Marga Nugraha Susilo, Muhammad Ramadhan, I Putu Ari Kuncoro, Ahmad Yopi Solpianda, Ahris Sumariyanto, and Surya Aditya Pratama) and the women's team (Siti Masithah, Ika Yulianingsih, Celsy Silviana, Febriyanti, Ayu Putri Febriana Ningrum, and Finda Tri Setianingrum) secured gold.

In the fairway category, Rifqi Najmuddin Najib won gold, and Alberthus Nathan Yusanto took silver. Ni Luh Manik Purwati won silver, and along with her partner Syarah Nur Hafifa, she secured a final gold in the women's fairway doubles.

Raja Sapta Oktohari, the Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI/NOC Indonesia), expressed his full appreciation for the achievement.

"Winning 12 golds and the overall title in front of our home crowd is solid proof that woodball is developing rapidly in Indonesia. This achievement is also an important asset ahead of the SEA Games in Thailand," he concluded.

Indonesia's success in becoming the overall champion affirms the nation's position as a hub for woodball growth in Asia.
