Indonesia Ranks 20th in the World Games 2025 in China

KBRN, Jakarta: Indonesia's athletes achieved a notable top-20 finish at The World Games 2025, bringing home a total of nine medals from the competition held in Chengdu, China, from August 7-17.
According to the official website World Games on Monday, August 18, 2025, out of 26 competing athletes, Indonesia collected four gold, four silver, and one bronze medal. This achievement is a significant improvement over the previous edition, The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, USA, where Indonesia finished in 25th place with two gold and three silver medals.
Three of Indonesia's four gold medals came from the dragon boat canoe sport: in the mixed 10-seater 500-meter, mixed open 8-seater 2,000-meter, and mixed open 8-seater 200-meter events. The other gold medal was won by Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi in the women's speed climbing single 4, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Meanwhile, Indonesia's four silver medals were won by the dragon boat team in the mixed 10-seater 2,000-meter and mixed open 8-seater 500-meter events; by wushu athlete Seraf Naro Siregar in the men's taolu-changquan-daoshu-gunshu combination; and by Kiromal Katibin in the men's speed climbing single 4.
The single bronze medal was won by Rajiah Sallsabillah in the women's speed climbing single 4, competing alongside her compatriot Desak Made Rita.
In the overall standings, host China emerged as the champion with 36 gold, 17 silver, and 11 bronze medals. Germany was in second place with 17 gold, followed by Ukraine in third with 16 gold.
The 12th edition of The World Games featured thousands of athletes from various countries competing in a number of non-Olympic sports and specific disciplines of Olympic sports. ***
