KBRN, Jakarta: The AFC held the group division draw for the 2026 U-20 Women's Asian Cup Qualification on Monday, April 28, 2025. The Indonesian Women's National Team was drawn into Group D as quoted by rri.co.id.
The 2026 U-20 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers are scheduled to take place from August 2 to 10, 2025. A total of 33 teams will compete for 11 qualification slots to join Thailand in the 2026 U-20 Asian Cup finals.
Garuda Pertiwi has been placed in Group D alongside Myanmar, Turkmenistan, and India. The AFC has appointed Myanmar as the host nation for the Group D qualifying matches of the 2026 U-20 Women's Asian Cup.
Group A will see defending champions North Korea, Nepal, hosts Bhutan, Mongolia, and Saudi Arabia competing for qualification. Meanwhile, Group B features hosts Vietnam, Kyrgyz Republic, Hong Kong, China, and Singapore.
Group C will feature Australia, Chinese Taipei, Palestine, and hosts Tajikistan as they compete against each other. Meanwhile, Group E will see former champions China, Lebanon, Cambodia, and Syria come together.
Six-time champions Japan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Malaysia, and Guam compete in Group F. Following the group stage format, the eight group champions and the three best runners-up will qualify for the 2026 U-20 Asian Cup.
The U-20 Asian Cup is scheduled for April 1-8, 2026. Teams reaching the semifinals will qualify for the 2026 U-20 Women's World Cup in Poland.
