Erick Commends Indonesian Futsal Team's Climbing Global Ranking

KBRN, Surabaya: The World Football Federation (FIFA) officially released the latest national futsal team rankings. The men's national futsal team is currently ranked 21st, and the Indonesian women's national futsal team is ranked 17th as of April 2025.
“Thank God, Indonesia's men's and women's futsal FIFA rankings managed to rise 7 ranks,” said Chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Erick Thohir at his personal IG page on Sunday, April 6, 2025, as quoted by rri.co.id.
“In Asia, the Indonesian men's national futsal team is in 4th place, while the Indonesian women's national futsal team is in fifth place,” he added.
Erick Thohir hoped the recent positive achievements of the Indonesian Men's and Women's national futsal teams would inspire PSSI management to work diligently in further elevating the Indonesian national futsal team's performance.
“Positive progress for Indonesian futsal and I hope it can be an additional encouragement for us, to continue to bring Indonesian futsal to the world stage,” he concluded. ***
