KBRN, Jakarta: Indonesian ice-skating athlete Tasya Putri Permatasari aimed to collect maximum points when competing at the 2025 Asian Winter Games (AWG) taking place in Harbin, China on February 7-14.

"What we are aiming for is a point value that is greater than the competition we participated in before," Tasya Putri Permatasari told the media crew according to the "Inauguration and Release of the Indonesian Team Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025" in Jakarta, Thursday.

She and her partner Dwiki Eka Ramadhan, who plays in the ice dance number, will represent Indonesia to fight at the AWG 2025 along with four other athletes, including short track speed skating athletes Arsa Mizan Putra Firdaus and Marva Kayana Putra Firdaus, as well as figure skating athletes Kelly Elizabeth Supangat and Michelle Edgina Axille.

She said the highest points she had collected in the previous championship reached 90 points. Therefore, in the upcoming AWG, she and her colleagues will attempt to collect more points than before.

Tasya and her friends have undergone maximum preparation from training camps to competition trials. She mentioned that during the preparation period, there were challenges faced in the ice dance number when using coaches from abroad, so the training process was carried out online.

Apart from that, Tasya ensured that the preparation was adequate, so she hoped to give her best performance. "We want to perform better than previous championships," she said as quoted by antaranews.com.

Tasya's teammate Michelle Edgina Axille also wanted to perform optimally to collect as many points as possible during the AWG competition.

"I hope to perform my best," she said.

Tasya, Michelle and friends will depart for Harbin on February 4 to undergo adaptation to the new environment (acclimatization) before competing.

Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian Team for AWG 2025 Josephine Tampubolon ensured that various preparations have been made ranging from training, and vaccines, to winter clothing, to ensure athletes are in the best condition when competing.***
