National Energy Council Enhances Synergy with Local Industry

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The National Energy Council (DEN) pushes to strengthen synergy between the government and business entities to enhance local industrial capacity in supporting national energy sector development. This was highlighted during a DEN audience with Taka Turbomachinery Indonesia and IHI Power Service Indonesia in Jakarta on Monday, September 21, 2026.

DEN Stakeholder Member, Satya Widya Yudha, stated that strengthening domestic industry is an essential component. This effort is aimed at building a national energy ecosystem capable of supporting energy security and independence.

"Strengthening the domestic industry needs to be positioned as part of the national energy ecosystem. Therefore, synergy between the government and the business sector is required to understand industrial capacity, encourage the utilization of domestic technology, and open collaboration spaces that can support national energy development needs," Satya said, as quoted in a written press release.

According to him, communication between the government and business players is necessary. He emphasized that this is crucial to gain a comprehensive picture of national industrial capabilities, including production, maintenance, engineering, and technology development capabilities that can be leveraged to support the energy sector.

"Through forums like this, DEN aims to gain insight into the capabilities and experience of the national industry while listening to input from business players. Such information is important to strengthen synergy and serve as material in assessing the needs and future development of the energy industrial ecosystem," he added.

During the audience, Taka Turbomachinery Indonesia presented the company's experience and capabilities in the field of turbomachinery, including repair, field service, overhaul, on-site repair, reverse engineering, and component manufacturing. Based on the presentation, these capabilities were developed to support the needs of various sectors, including power generation, oil and gas, and other industries.

Taka Turbomachinery Indonesia also shared its experience in developing domestic reverse engineering and component manufacturing capabilities. The company conveyed that this capacity building is directed toward enhancing the national industry's ability to provide services and supporting components for the energy sector.
