RRI.CO.ID Bali - Bali Police Chief, Inspector General Pol. Daniel Adityajaya directly led the Troops Inspection for Operation Gapura Agung IV-2026 Readiness at the Bali Police Headquarters on Friday, September 18, 2026. The roll call was held to ensure the readiness of security measures for two large-scale international policing agendas located in the Nusa Dua area, Bali, which positions Bali once again as the face of Indonesia in the eyes of the world.
The two major events are the 63rd International Association of Women Police (IAWP) Training Conference on September 20–24, 2026, at The Westin Nusa Dua Hotel, and the 14th Senior Officer Meeting (SOM) between the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) on September 20–22, 2026. The troop inspection was also attended by Deputy Bali Police Chief Brigadier General. Police. I Made Astawa, main officials of the Bali Police, the Chief of Denpasar City Police, the Chief of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Area Police, and all personnel involved in the operation.
In his briefing, the Bali Police Chief revealed that the IAWP event is expected to be attended by 464 female police representatives from 43 participating countries. A number of state officials and national figures are also scheduled to attend, including the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, the Chairperson of the Central Bhayangkari, the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission, and the Chairperson of the Retired Police Association.
Meanwhile, the 14th SOM serves as a crucial momentum to strengthen the strategic cooperation between Polri and the AFP in combating transnational crime. To ensure the smooth running of both international agendas, the Bali Police have deployed 744 personnel for Operation Gapura Agung IV-2026, which will last for five days from September 20 to 24, 2026.
The operation structure is led by the Director of Samapta as Head of Operations, assisted by the Head of Finance Division of the Bali Police as Deputy Head. The Bali Police Chief emphasized that the placement of policewomen in strategic security positions during this operation is a tangible manifestation of the commitment to gender equality within Polri, especially in the Bali Police.
The Bali Police Chief firmly stated that Bali is the face of Indonesia, therefore all personnel are required to provide optimal, professional, and humane security without disrupting routine community activities and tourism dynamics. “This troop inspection serves as a consolidation tool to align mindsets, attitudes, and actions. All personnel must be in one security system, one line of coordination, and one goal: to ensure the security and smooth running of the IAWP and SOM series of activities,” he stressed.
Ending his briefing, Inspector General Daniel conveyed five fundamental instructions that must be adhered to by all security personnel in the field. First, understand SOPs and act humanely, not treating this as a routine task. Second, conduct early detection and rapid response by optimizing early detection of even the smallest potential disturbances.
Third, supervisory control by Field Controllers who must regularly check the implementation of tasks. Fourth, utilize supporting technology optimally, including supervision and monitoring of personnel movement through the Bali Police Command Center. Fifth, maintain the integrity and good name of the institution.
He closed his direction with a message of unity and health. Every personnel, he said, is a representation of the face of Polri and Indonesia in the eyes of the world, so they must avoid actions that injure public trust. “Stay healthy and maintain solidity. May God always protect us all,” concluded Inspector General Daniel, marking the readiness of 744 combined personnel to secure the two international conferences in Nusa Dua.
