RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – One of the bus-based transportation modes in Jakarta, Transjakarta, has reactivated the Universitas Pancasila non-BRT bus stop following its revitalization. The reactivation of this bus stop was inaugurated by the Vice Governor of Jakarta, Rano Karno, in Jagakarsa, Jakarta, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
The revitalization process of the Universitas Pancasila Non-BRT bus stop, which began on June 22, 2026, was designed to resolve various issues related to passenger buildup and congestion in the surrounding area. Before being revitalized, this location frequently experienced passenger crowding from various Transjakarta routes, such as routes 9H, 4B, D21, Jak 44, and Jak 64, and was disrupted by street vendors.
The Universitas Pancasila bus stop serves as a crucial transit point because it directly connects Transjakarta bus services with the Commuter Line at the Universitas Pancasila Station. Consequently, this revitalization focused on presenting more orderly and neat facilities, while providing maximum protection and comfort for public transportation users.
Transjakarta's President Director, Welfizon Yuza, stated that the revitalization of this bus stop focuses on improving service quality and intermodal connectivity for the community. Furthermore, he emphasized that the revitalization is not merely physical.
"The revitalization of the Universitas Pancasila bus stop is not just a physical improvement, but part of our effort to present an integrated, safe, and comfortable public transportation ecosystem. With neater arrangements, we hope to facilitate the mobility of the community and KRL users at this crucial transit point," Welfizon stated, as quoted in a written press release.
With the operation of the revitalized Universitas Pancasila bus stop, Transjakarta and Vice Governor Rano also invited all service users to utilize public transportation. Therefore, he urged the public to jointly look after these public facilities for mutual comfort and safety.
"The Jakarta Government, together with Transjakarta, will continue to improve the quality of public transportation facilities so that they increasingly meet community needs. Transjakarta is realizing the physical construction of the bus stop, while Universitas Pancasila is also encouraging its utilization by students and the academic community as part of the effort to switch to public transportation," Rano revealed.
