TNI AU Distributes Relief Supplies to Earthquake-Affected Residents in NTT

RRI.CO.ID, East Nusa Tenggara - The Indonesian Air Force distributed relief supplies to residents affected by the earthquake in Nangahale Village, Talibura District, Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Sunday, August 23, 2026. The assistance was distributed by personnel from the Health Battalion of the Indonesian Air Force Headquarters Detachment and the Indonesian Air Force Special Forces Corps (Korpasgat), in cooperation with Watubaing Community Health Center in Talibura District.

The assistance included basic necessities, drinking water, supporting supplies, and medicines. The aid was provided to help meet the needs of affected residents, particularly during the ongoing disaster response.

Commander of the Health Battalion of the Indonesian Air Force Headquarters Detachment, Lieutenant Colonel dr.Ahmad Hendra, said the assistance was delivered directly to residents so that it could be used immediately according to their needs.

“We are here to provide the assistance needed by residents affected by the earthquake. We hope this assistance will help meet their needs during the disaster response,” he said in a press statement received by RRI Voice of Indonesia on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

The distribution of assistance in cooperation with Watubaing Community Health Center also strengthened support for affected communities, particularly in meeting their logistical and healthcare needs. The collaboration helped ensure that the assistance reached residents in need directly.

The presence of the Indonesian Air Force in the affected area provided direct support to communities in East Nusa Tenggara in meeting their needs during the disaster response.
