Govt Keeps Sending Aid to NTT After Earthquake

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The National Logistics Support Post continues receiving aid for NTT earthquake response. By Wednesday, August 19, 2026, donations totaling 646 tons had reached the post.

According to press release of the National Disater Mitigation Agency (BNPB), four tons of assistance entered the warehouse on Wednesday alone. The supplies came from five donors supporting affected communities' logistical needs.

Of the total stock, 394 tons are ready for gradual distribution. The assistance includes food, medicines, tents, blankets, mattresses, and hygiene kits.

Military aircraft transported 63 tons of aid through five flights Wednesday. The shipments traveled from Halim Perdanakusuma to Labuan Bajo and Maumere.

Two flights carried 31 tons of assistance to Labuan Bajo. Three other aircraft transported 32 tons of supplies toward Maumere.

BNPB's ready-to-use funds also supported nine flights toward Flores. Those flights carried 135 tons of food and non-food assistance.

Combined Wednesday distributions reached 198 tons through fourteen flights. The shipments used Indonesian Air Force aircraft and BNPB-funded commercial cargo planes.

From August 15 to 19, military aircraft delivered 251 tons. The deliveries reached Labuan Bajo through ten flights and Maumere through nine.

Meanwhile, BNPB-funded commercial flights delivered 345 tons between August 17-19. Those shipments comprised seventeen flights to Labuan Bajo and six Maumere flights.

The logistics post has prepared further distributions for Thursday, August 20, 2026. Three military aircraft will carry 42 tons toward Labuan Bajo and Maumere.
