Prabowo Receives Report on the Progress of the B50 Program and Bioethanol Readines

RRI.CO.ID, Bogor - President Prabowo Subianto received a report on the progress of the implementation of the B50 Mandatory Program, as well as the readiness of infrastructure for the implementation of mandatory bioethanol. The report was delivered by the President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Simon A. Mantiri, during a meeting with the President at the Hambalang residence, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Sunday afternoon, August 9, 2026.
Cabinet Secretary, Teddy Indra Wijaya in a written statement mentioned that Simon reported on the progress of the B50 implementation, which was launched by President Prabowo in July 2026. The program is part of the government's efforts to strengthen national energy independence and resilience thru the increased utilization of domestic energy sources.
"The President Director of Pertamina reported on the progress of the B50 Mandatory Program (50% Biodiesel) launched by President Prabowo last July, as well as the readiness of the infrastructure in the preparation stages for the government's mandatory bioethanol," Teddy said.
In addition to discussing the development of energy programs, the meeting also addressed the improvement of state-owned enterprise governance. President Prabowo ordered the simplification of the organizational structure by reducing organizational layers and the subsidiaries and affiliates of Pertamina, State Electricity Company (PLN), and other state-owned enterprises.
"In that meeting, President Prabowo also ordered the reduction of layers and subsidiaries in Pertamina, PLN, and other state-owned enterprises," he said.
According to him, the simplification of the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) structure is aimed at accelerating the decision-making process, increasing productivity, and maintaining the efficiency of state-owned enterprises. The reduction of organizational layers is expected to make BUMN more agile in conducting business activities.
"The trimming is aimed at making decision-making faster, increasing productivity, and maintaining the efficiency of all SOEs," Teddy said.
