RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia officially strengthened the national active and healthy lifestyle industry ecosystem to capture global market opportunities through the ISAW and Cosmetic Day 2026 exhibitions at the Ministry of Industry Building in Jakarta on Monday, August 3, 2026. This strategic move was taken to meet rising domestic demand while expanding the export penetration of products that support a healthy lifestyle into international markets.

The merger of these two annual events, taking place August 3–6, 2026, carries the theme “Local, Active, Halal” to foster synergy among lifestyle industry subsectors. This integration encompasses the sports apparel, footwear, and sports equipment sectors, as well as body care products and healthy foods.

Vice Minister of Industry, Faisol Riza, explained that this integration reflects the increasingly intertwined nature of consumer demand for sports and personal care products. “Both industries have a strong consumer base, particularly among the productive age group, who are adaptable to evolving trends and view sports and appearance as part of their lifestyle,” Faisol said.

He added that the strategic message “Local, Active, Halal” is a key asset in raising the quality standards of national products. This step is considered strategic for capitalizing on the rapidly growing global business opportunities in the healthy lifestyle sector.

“Thus, the ‘Local, Active, Halal’ ethos not only strengthens consumer confidence but also enhances the competitiveness of Indonesian products in capitalizing on opportunities in both domestic and export markets, particularly the market of more than two billion Muslim consumers in Asia and Africa,” he said.

Indonesia’s sportswear market itself is projected to grow significantly, reaching Rp58.6 trillion by 2030. This positive growth aligns with the rising export performance of the national apparel, sporting goods, and cosmetics industries, which continue to show an upward trend.

To support this growth, the Ministry of Industry has also established strategic partnerships with the private sector and academia through the signing of an agreement to foster small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Quality standard certifications and distribution permits were also issued to business operators to ensure the safety of the products being marketed.
