RRI.CO.ID, Sumedang - Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto, expressed his appreciation for the diversity and equal access to education at the Indonesian Institute of Public Administration (IPDN). He delivered this message while leading the inauguration ceremony of its 33rd graduating class at the IPDN main campus in Sumedang Regency, West Java, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

According to the President, this equality of opportunity is reflected in the family backgrounds of the top ten graduates. They come from families with diverse parental professions and economic circumstances.

"Before I stepped onto the podium, I received a report from the Minister of Home Affairs, 'Mr. President, the ten best graduates of this class all come from very humble families.' I was told earlier that some are the children of laborers, some are the children of farmers, and some are the children of military non-commissioned officers," he said, as quoted by the country's Presidential Secretariat.

The diversity of backgrounds, according to Prabowo, is proof that the IPDN student selection process is carried out fairly and provides equal opportunities for all children of the nation. He said this proves that the selection process by the Ministry of Home Affairs "has been successful".

Furthermore, Prabowo hopes that this commitment will be maintained to attract and develop the best young generation from various regions and levels of society. He stated that future leaders can emerge from any background if they are given equal opportunities.

"We want the selection process to be fair. The nation's best sons and daughters, regardless of their background, prove that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) is successful," Prabowo said.

"If the children of daily laborers can graduate and become civil servants, who knows, they might one day become great leaders," he said.

Furthermore, the president emphasized that the meritocratic system is a part of the Pancasila values in national life, expressing his pride in the achievements of the younger generation who have succeeded through their abilities and hard work. Pancasila is the five basic principles of Indonesia, consisting of belief in God, humanity, unity, democracy, and social justice.

"This proves that the NKRI is successful, that Pancasila is true. The NKRI and Pancasila (within it) must be a nation led by the best. Those who excel. Meritocracy (should work). Those who excel, please advance. This makes me proud," he conveyed.
