RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the national film ecosystem through transparent, accurate, and sustainable industry data management. This statement was made during an audience with Cinepoint at Autograph Tower, Thamrin Nine, Thursday, 23 July 2026.

Teuku Riefky stated that the Ministry of Creative Economy wants the Indonesian film ecosystem to grow larger, of higher quality, and more sustainable. He stated that strengthening data-driven policies is necessary to encourage investment, content diversification, and international collaboration.

According to him, the availability of comprehensive industry data will strengthen the precision of government policies. He cited Cinepoint data as an example, revealing that Indonesia's film market share will exceed 60 percent by 2025, as well as 15 film titles reaching 1 million viewers in the first half of 2026.

Teuku Riefky emphasized that the government acts as a facilitator, bringing together all stakeholders, from creative economy activists and investors to data platforms. He stated that policies will be more accurate if supported by strong data.

As a follow-up to this collaborative approach, the Ministry of Creative Economy is exploring a strategic partnership with Cinepoint. The ministry is currently drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to optimize data infrastructure development and expand analytics services.

Agus Syarip Hidayat, Director of Strategic Studies and Management at the Ministry of Creative Economy, stated that data from Cinepoint will be useful as a basis for planning and formulating policy programs. He hopes the collaboration with Cinepoint will strengthen the national film ecosystem going forward.

On the same occasion, Cinepoint outlined its readiness to launch Cinepoint Pro, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-based film analytics platform. This platform is designed to comprehensively collect box-office data, social media trends, marketing performance, and audience demographics and locations.

Cinepoint Director/Co-founder Vincent Putera explained that the Minister of Creative Economy is very open to encouraging further collaboration. He hopes this data-driven approach can provide transparency for film industry players and effectively open up new opportunities.
