RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Chief of Air Force Staff, Air Marshal TNI M. Tonny Harjono, emphasized that integrity, professionalism, and a spirit of continuous learning are the main assets that every TNI Air Force Officer must possess in serving the nation and the state. Air Chief Marshal M. Tonny Harjono conveyed the message during a briefing to 154 Junior Officers (Paja) graduating from the Air Force Academy (AAU) Class of 2026 at Mabesau, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

In his address, the Air Force Chief emphasized that the commissioning as an officer is not the end of the educational process, but rather the beginning of a service journey that will face various challenges and responsibilities. According to him, the quality of an officer is built thru integrity, performance, and abilities demonstrated from the beginning of their assignment.

"The inauguration as an officer is not the end of the educational process, but rather the beginning of a journey of service that will be marked by various challenges and responsibilities," he said.

He also encourages the Young Officers to continuously develop their competencies as lifelong learners. He said that the knowledge, discipline, and leadership skills acquired during education at AAU need to be continuously enriched thru a willingness to learn, openness to feedback, and the ability to build good communication.

Ending the briefing, the Chief of Staff reminded the importance of making the spirit of Reach Higher to Serve Better a guideline in enhancing personal capacity and the quality of service to the Indonesian Air Force.

"Reach Higher to Serve Better. Continuously improve yourself, keep learning, and keep filling yourself with knowledge," Tonny said.

The Chief of Staff of the Air Force also extended congratulations to all the Young Officers of the AAU Class of 2026 "NIRWANA". He hopes that the young officers will uphold the honor of the profession, continue to develop their competencies, and provide the best service to the Indonesian Air Force, the nation, and the country.
